About this stone
Emerald is the deep green variety of beryl, colored by trace chromium. Almost all natural emeralds contain internal inclusions called the jardin (French for "garden"), which are signs of authenticity rather than flaws. Curated by a certified gemologist.
Care and wear
Emerald is harder than most stones (Mohs 7.5 to 8) but more fragile than its hardness suggests because of internal inclusions. Remove before strenuous exercise or impact. Clean with a soft cloth and lukewarm water only. Do not use ultrasonic or steam cleaners.
