Aquarius is a fixed air sign ruled traditionally by Saturn and in modern astrology by Uranus. About this stone

Spinel is a magnesium aluminate, a different mineral than ruby and sapphire though it occurs in the same metamorphic environments and has historically been mistaken for them. The most famous historical example is the Black Prince's Ruby in the British Imperial State Crown, which was identified as spinel only in the twentieth century. Black spinel takes its opaque color from high iron content and accepts an unusually high polish that reads almost like polished metal.
